Mandatory Documents:
The below mentioned documents are mandatory to rent a vehicle from AL MORJAN car rental and must be produced upon vehicle delivery:

- Valid Passport & Emirates ID
- Valid Driving license issued at least 1 year before the pick-up date
- Valid International Driving license, only usable for visit visa customers.
- Credit Card must be in the name of the booking holder for security blocking.
Important: For customers who are booking for delivery, the above mentioned documents should be emailed to Reservations@marjanuae.com at least 3 hours prior to the scheduled delivery.
2. Delivery, Extension, Return and Exchange

- The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours) with a maximum grace period of 59 minutes from the time rental started. In the event of the late return of vehicle exceeding the grace period, Al Morjan reserves the right to make an additional hourly charge at the AED 20 per hour, for up to 3 hours and in case of further delay Al Morjan has the right to charge a full day rental plus any add-on fees taken in the rental.
- The customer should inform Al Morjan in advance about any required extension of the rental duration. If the customer fails to return the vehicle within the due time and fails notify Al Morjan, the agreement will be renewed automatically, and charges will be debited from the customer’s credit card.
- This Rental Agreement remains active until the Vehicle is returned by the customer to the agreed drop off location at the agreed time.
- Upon receiving the Vehicle, the customer confirms that the rental Vehicle is in the same condition indicated on the Vehicle Check Report a live video of the condition of the vehicle has been sent to the customer’s WhatsApp number and the customer accepts full liability for any further damage to or loss of the Vehicle, however it occurs during the rental. The customer remains fully responsible for the Vehicle until it is returned and checked in by an authorized staff of Al Morjan.
- The customer agrees to return the Vehicle with all documents and accessories (same as received by the customer) and in the same condition as received at the location and on the date and time stated in the rental contract.
- Al Morjan reserves the rights to repossess the Vehicle at any time if the Vehicle is used in violation of this rental contract or if the customer fails to settle its invoiced balances to Al Morjan.
- If the customer returns the Vehicle outside of working hours, the customer must comply with the out of hours return instructions, given by Al Morjan. In all cases the customer is fully responsible for the Vehicle until the location re-opens for business and the Vehicle is checked and received by staff.
- If Al Morjan agreed that the customer can return the Vehicle to another location than the rental location, or if Al Morjan agreed to collect it, the customer is fully responsible for the Vehicle until staff collects it and in all events the customer must obtain a document confirming that Al Morjan collected the Vehicle.
- Al Morjan is not liable to the customer or any passenger or third party for loss or damage of property left in the rented vehicle either during the period of rental or after the return. Anything left inside the car is entirely at the customer own risk throughout the term of the rental contract.
- The rented Vehicle may need to be replaced if the Vehicle is due for service, sale or accident, etc. In this case, the customer must deliver the Vehicle back upon Al Morjan’s request. Al Morjan does not guarantee to return the same vehicle to the customer. If Al Morjan is unable to adhere to service intervals due to late return, this could result in financial obligation and might cause damages to the Vehicle. Any such costs will be entirely liable by the customer.
- If the vehicle requested by the customer is not available, Al Morjan may offer an upgrade for temporary use only. Once the car in the customer’s reserved group is available, Al Morjan will contact the Renter for a replacement and will provide the vehicle that the customer was charged for and in this event the customer must replace the Vehicle, as soon as Al Morjan notifies the customer. Two attempts for replacement will be made by our staff contacting the customer and in the event of no response from customer to our request, the customer will be charged for the upgraded vehicle from the date the vehicle in the customer’s reserved group was available.
- Early termination of monthly contracts will result in a higher rate. This is calculated based on the best applicable rates for actual used days. Whereas early termination of annual contract, One month rental will be charged as a contract termination compensation fees.
- If the customer does not return the vehicle on the end date of contract or dues are not settled on the agreed date, or in case the vehicle is used in a manner that violates the terms of the rental agreement, Al Morjan reserves the right to:
- Report the vehicle as stolen to the Police.
- Repossess and recover the vehicle without prior notice to the customer.
- File a police/court case against the customer /Payer for non-payment of the outstanding dues.

- Charge the customer the late fee of 3% on the unpaid instalments and all additional costs including recovery fee, damages, etc. until full settlement is made.
3. Personal Data
The customer authorizes Al Morjan to communicate the personal related data of the customer to the concerned authorities such as the police, traffic departments, Criminal Investigation Departments, and other relevant authorities.
4. Rates & Modification:
Rates are subject to change if any changes to the reservation are made after the date of the reservation confirmation.
Where the customer wishes to amend the initial period of rental – either by extending or reducing the rental days – the customer acknowledges that Al Morjan reserves the right to modify its rates accordingly.
5. Conditions of Use
The customer is expected to look after the Vehicle carefully. In particular it must NOT be used:

- To transport passenger’s for money.
- To carry a higher number of passengers than the amount for which the Vehicle is allowed to accommodate at a time.
- To carry any object or substance which because of its condition or smell, may harm the Vehicle or prevent or delay Al Morjan’s ability to rent it again.
- To propel or tow any vehicle, trailer, or other object.
- In any race, test or contest or any illegal purpose.
- For driving un-paved road.
- While the Renter or other driver of the Vehicle is under the influence of alcohol, hallucinatory drugs, narcotics, barbiturates, or any other substance impairing his/her consciousness or ability to react
- In contravention of any customs, traffic laws or other effective regulations
- By any person other than the Renter unless such person has been assigned by the Renter and informed to Al Morjan as the additional driver (as registered in the Agreement)
- For sub-renting
- Outside the country.
- In geographical areas which have been (or will be) notified by Al Morjan as restricted.
The customer agrees to (i) be liable for any legal consequences or liabilities, (ii) bear all costs and expenses, (iii) to indemnify Al Morjan against any and all losses incurred by Al Morjan and/ or any damages occurred to the Vehicle, resulting out of the customer’s breach of any of the above conditions of use under this clause.
6. Insurance Policy
Al Morjan provides standard insurance for persons using the Vehicle under an automobile liability policy.
However, the customer may opt for a higher level of insurance coverage after paying the applicable rate as pre-defined by Al Morjan and stated above in this Agreement. In this case, the customer must get a signed copy of the Terms And Conditions of any extended insurance or have the extended insurance coverage expressly mentioned on the above of this Agreement (if it is higher than the standard insurance coverage mentioned above) failing which no additional insurance coverage will be regarded.

- In case if the contract is on the ‘Comprehensive Insurance; the customer accepts liability for losses of, or damage to the Vehicle, its parts, and accessories. This is limited to the amount of the non-waivable and non-refundable excess liability, as stated on the above of this Agreement. Further, the customer shall provide Al Morjan with a valid accident report issued by the police (or other relevant authority). Otherwise, all costs and expenses for reinstating and delivering the Vehicle to Al Morjan in the same condition as it was received, shall be borne by the Renter.
- In case if the contract is on the Collision Damage Waiver (CDW); the customer accepts the optional Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) by paying, in advance, the equivalent fees stated on the Rental contract. The Renter is exempted from liability for loss of or damage to the vehicle, its parts, and accessories (other than caused by theft), provided that a valid Police Report is presented and the insurance company covers the same. The Renter acknowledges that any coverage becomes null and void in the absence of a permanent Police Report.
- In case if the contract is on the ‘Personal Accident Insurance’ (PAI); the customer accepts the optional Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) by paying the daily fees stated on the customer contract, insurance will cover the medical costs and accidental death for the customer and passengers in the event of an accident during the rental as per contract’s Motor Vehicle Policy.
7. Damage/Loss, Theft, etc.

- In the event of damage, loss or theft of the Vehicle or any parts of it, including fire and breakage of glass, the customer shall, irrespective of his driver’s fault, pay to Al Morjan the amount of all resulting loss and expenses (including but not limited to replacement or recovery costs, repair costs, compensation for the decline in value and loss of the rental fee) if the Renter/Driver violated these terms and conditions, any provisions, customs/insurance regulations.
- The customer is fully responsible for any damage to the Vehicle especially if it occurred as a result of contaminated fuel and/or was caused by driving through floodwater, and/or water damage and/or sea beaches and/or rocky deserts and/or sand dunes/off roads.
- As loss of revenue, Al Morjan may charge a compensation corresponding to the rental charge until the day the Vehicle, or replacement vehicle will again be available to Al Morjan in the same condition as received by the customer.
- In case of an accident (with or without damage to the Vehicle), any personal injuries, theft of the vehicle or parts of it, the customer must inform Al Morjan and immediately report the accident to the police to obtain a valid police report after providing all required documents or procedure requested by the Police. A copy of the Police Report must be sent to Al Morjan by the customer. However, if the customer fails to provide Al Morjan with a copy of the Police Report within a reasonable period, the CDW and any other insurance provided hereunder shall be null and void and, therefore, the customer shall be responsible for paying the actual costs suffered by Al Morjan for losing the Vehicle, or any damage occurred to it.
- The customer shall not perform any action that affects the existence or validity of the insurance policy, and in particular not to admit any responsibility towards third parties. Otherwise, the customer shall be solely responsible for compensating such a third party.
- In all events, the customer agrees to fully indemnify Al Morjan if the insurance company rejects any claim raised thereby because of the customer’s default and/or in case any third party sues Al Morjan for the customer’s actions or defaults.
- The customer is obliged to assist Al Morjan and/or its insurance providers in all claims or legal affairs in the event of an accident or any damage to the Vehicle. These responsibilities of the customer shall apply accordingly in case of theft.
- If the Police Report does not identify the third party responsible for the accident, the customer shall bear all expenses and costs incurred by Al Morjan, or the excess liability amount according to the type of insurance selected and agreed upon by the customer (if any).
- Tire and window damage is not covered under insurance (unless a Premium Coverage is purchased upon renting the vehicle) and the customer is responsible for the cost of their replacement.
- No repairs are to be carried out on the Vehicle by customer him/her-Self, in the event if customer repairs vehicle by self, customer Al Morjan has the right t demand a compensation amount of AED 5000 as a loss in the value of the vehicle caused by an un-authorized repairs.
- The insurance policy may be cancelled if the customer fails to comply with the terms hereof. In this event the customer shall be liable for all costs, damages and losses incurred by Al Morjan due to the customer’s default.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement is governed by and shall be construed and interpreted under the law of the United Arab Emirates as well the local laws applicable to the Emirate where it is executed. If there is any dispute between the parties hereto, the same shall be submitted to the competent court.
9. Charges

- Al Morjan reserves the right to change its policies, including the applicable rates at any time without notice. These policies are for general informational purposes only and do not constitute a waiver of any of Al Morjan’s rights, all of which are specifically reserved.
- Monthly rentals have a fixed mileage allowance per month. Excess mileage will be charged at AED 0.30 to AED 0.50 per additional km, depending on the car type.
- In the event the rented vehicle cross Salik (highway tolls) or attracts a fine penalty from the police or Traffic Department during the time of rental, Al Morjan is authorized to charge Salik or the cost of those penalties to the customer’s or Payer’s credit card. Salik toll fee will be charged at AED5.00 per crossing at the toll gates.
- 10.00% service fee will be charged on top of each traffic violation, including the knowledge fee. If a traffic offence attributable to the customer requires the vehicle to be impounded by the authorities, Al Morjan will ensure that necessary fines are paid to avoid such impound. The applicable impounding charges will be recovered from the customer. All ancillary costs generated 30 days from the closing of the agreement will be recovered automatically from the customer’s credit card without any notification.
- Additional admin charges will apply in all such cases where Al Morjan has to provide any extra assistance to the customer. This can include, but is not limited to: Final Police Report, Traffic Fine evidence, vehicle release from impound, drunk driving, lock fines, Document translation etc.
- Cleaning charges will be applied if the Vehicle is returned in a condition that requires specialized cleaning.
- Additional fees for any roadside assistance will be levied for the recovery of the Vehicle or towing or pulling the Vehicle to the workshop due to the customer’s negligence or default.
- The customer shall timely pay to Al Morjan the agreed rent/rates throughout the term of this Agreement. In case of renewal hereof, or if the customer is unable to return the vehicle upon the termination or expiration of this Contract, the customer shall be charged new rates/rent as per Al Morjan’s current effective rates at that time.
- The Renter authorizes Al Morjan in advance to take any charges (rental and any ancillary charges such traffic fine, traffic fine supporting document, Salik or toll fees, damage, petrol, etc.) according to this Rental Agreement from the Renter’s credit or charge card account.
10. Payment, Cancellation & No-Show:
A credit card in the name of the renter is mandatory for the car hire.
We accept payments online using Visa and MasterCard credit card in AED.
Al Morjan currently does not impose any cancellation or no-show fee on the reservations.

Customer credit card details and personally identifiable information will not be stored, sold, shared, rented or leased to any third parties
11. Refund
Refunds for cancellation of bookings will be processed on the same credit card that was used to pay online within 15 working days of the cancellation.
Such refunds should be claimed within a maximum of 30 days from the pick-up date in the reservation.
All other refunds will be processed after 21-days from termination of the Rental contract. All outstanding ancillary charges as well as other dues to Al Morjan, if any, will be recovered automatically before processing the refund.
In cases where Al Morjan is unable to process the refund due to invalid credit card, refunds should be claimed within six months from the date of return of the vehicle.
No Refund applies on early return of Daily and Weekly rentals.
12. Indemnity
Save for fraud and gross negligence, Al Morjan shall not be held liable or responsible for any loss or damage incurred to or suffered by, the customer or any other third party in connection with the rented Vehicle
The Renter agrees to indemnify and hold Al Morjan (and its affiliated companies, employees and agents) harmless from and against all damages, losses, costs, expenses, actions, proceedings, claims and demands arising from or connected with the customer’s breach of its obligations under this Agreement or with his/her driving of the Vehicle.
13. Language and Interpretation
These Terms and Conditions were drafted in English. They may be translated into other languages. In the event of a conflict between different languages, the English text shall prevail, and be recognized for the sake of interpretation of both parties’ agreement.
14. Guaranteed Make & Model
Al Morjan Guarantees make and model on specific car groups. In the event that these car groups are not available, Al Morjan will provide an upgrade to the next available vehicle to the customer with the option to swap to the guaranteed vehicle type, as soon as it is available. Guaranteed vehicle type does not guarantee the vehicle color or optional accessories.
